Building a surround

Our company offers many types of surrounds in various colors, modern and rustic. Rustic fireplace surrounds make probably the largest part. While for the modern surrounds you can adjust the space for the insert, for the rustic ones this is limited and we can standardly use inserts with a height of 520 - 570mm and width 700mm.

Rustic surrounds are delivered with a wooden front bar and the entire surround consists of several parts. Single parts are glued together with a special glue Flamin or with a refractory mortar. Above the wooden bar there is a smoke chamber to cover the flue gas duct but especially as a hot air exchanger. From here the air comes back to the room through grates, or it can be used for heating other rooms in the house.
